Annabelle meets her Greek shepherd after 45 years!

Read this post in Swedish: Annabelle möter sin grekiske fåraherde efter 45 år!

Last night I was watching "Pame Paketo" (program which finds friends and relatives for people that have lost the contact with their loved ones)as usual with Vicky Hatzivasileiou. The one "package" (it's usually 2 in each program = 2 stories) was from a very famous Greek actor, Γιάννης Βόγλης - Giannis Vóglis, who very much wished to see his co-star from the movie "Κορίτσια στον ήλιο"(Koritsia ston ilio = Girls in the Sun), with premiere in 1968.
The role of a tourist from England was played by the Swedish-American Anne Lönnberg (Lonnberg). The 17 year old Lönnberg got the role by coincidence!

The film is about a young girl who meets a shepherd (Giannis Voglis) when on vacation in Greece. In the beginning she is afraid of him and is running as fast as she can when he wants to give her some almonds he has in his pocket. The shepherd is screaming "Στάσου, αμύγδαλα!" (Stásou, amígdala! = Wait, almonds!) as he is running after her, and this has become a familiar expression in Greece! (Do you wish to see this scene? About 5 minutes: Στάσου, αμύγδαλα!)

The shepherd, being misunderstood, goes to jail, accused of rape. Everything is getting solved.

They fall in love, but the day arrives when Annabelle has to go back home...

The movie became very loved and they still show it quite often at TV, probably a lot because of the good music, and especially the song "Ένα Πρωινό" (Ena proinó = One morning) or "Annabelle" like it's often called after the character of Lönnberg.

Here is the beautiful song with the lyrics written in Greek (lyrics: Georgos Papastefanoú, music: Stavros Ksarchakos) in a videoclip with the singer Maria Dimitriadi and with a few scenes from the film:

Pame Paketo found Anne Lönnberg. She told us that yesterday on the plane the man sitting next to her started a conversation with her and she told him that many years ago she was playing in the movie "Koritsia ston ilio"...Then he just screamed: - Annabelle!!!

I really enjoyed this reunion so I filmed just when Giannis Voglis and Anne Lönnberg met in the studio:

Helena Paparizou and Mr Perfect - new single!

Read in Swedish: Helena Paparizou och Mr Perfect - ny singel!
Helenas new song "Mr Perfect" has recently been released. Now we are just waiting for the videoclip, where we probably will see a very sexy Helena!

Great song! Will probably become a big hit as well as "Baby, it's over".
At "MAD Music Awards 2011" here in Greece Helena got the awards "The Fashion Icon Music video of the year" and "The Female Artist of the year".

'Elena(like she is called here in Greece) has such a awesome voice, and she is always so sweet and nice at interviews and shows at T.V. One get kind of proud...because Helena is Greek and in addition she grew up in Sweden...

'Elena is superhot in Greece right now as she is a member of the judge's panel in the new (new here in Greece, in Britain since 2006)TV-show '"Dancing on ice".

Helena is excellent in this role as well.
(Amazing that grown-up people can learn skating so well!)

Greek Idol 2011 - final yesterday!

The final of  "Greek Idol" was yesterday, and  two really good singers were competing about the first prize: 21 year old Malou Kiriakopoulou from Kalamáta and 32 year old Panagiotis Tsakalakos, who was borned and grew up in the USA (New York, Los Angeles).

Here they are performing Antonis Remos' "Echo esenna plai mou" ("I've got you by my side") together:

Malou is here singing a completely new song, "Poli mou paei" ("It fits me completely"), written by Vassilis Gavriilidis:

Panagiotis performing "Fuckin' Perfect" (Pink):
I was hoping that the sweet and nice Malou was going to win, but Panagiotis won fairly. He is more comfortable on stage (but then of course he doesn't need to wear high-healed shoes...). Anyway it doesn't really matter who won - both of them will have a great music career! Congratulations and Celebrations!

Aris in "Greek Idol" 2011

On saturday it was time for "Greek Idol" again at TV and this time the 21 years old Aris Plaskasovitis from Corfu was sent home.

Very talented guy really and the first you think is that these programs are not fair at all. Already from the first Live-show Aris was very comfortable on stage. Here he is singing "Το καλύτερο ψέμα" (The best lie) of Michalis Hatzigiannis:

This time I think it was a deal though! Well, that he had gotten an offer already about  recording an album and because of that the channel prefer to keep the other kids. I think that you can understand that from the critics of the jury and from the "exciting" moment in the end...what do you think?
