We ARE all Greeks...(?!)

Läs inlägget på svenska: Vi ÄR alla greker...(?!)

The English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) meant that we all actually are Greeks as the democracy, litterature, religion, art and more have its roots in Greece.

Thousands of people were gathering worldwide, even in Mexico, this weekend to show their support for Greece.

People were dancing the Greek dance Sirtaki in many cities! Haven't found any good video though at You Tube.

However I found a video from Royal Albert Concert Hall in London when the Dutch violinist André Rieu had a concert there a couple of years ago and among the other music compositions was playing "Zorba's dance" by Mikis Theodorakis. It's really great to see how the audience stands up, let go and dances Sirtaki!

Let's dance!

Thank you Eva, some great posts lately. Very moving and the music was wonderful...how can things be so bad when music can make you feel so good. Perhaps we all need a little more music in our lives!
