Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen - Ileána Makrí

The two sweet twin sisters from California, actors since the cradle, are designing clothes as well. Their brand is called "The Row". This summer (2011) the Greek jewellery designer Ileána Makrí invited them to her summerplace at the Greek island Patmos, as she wanted to start selling Mary-Kate & Ashleys' clothes in her fine boutique,   "Μαγεία"(=Magic), in Kolonáki (Charitos 18) here in Athens.


Mary-Kate and Ashley said yes and spent their vacation in Greece, as so many other celebrities!

Later on Ileána Makrí was contacted  by the successful sisters in turn, who wondered if Ileána wanted to design the jewellery for their new 2012-collection, which she also did. The beautiful jewellery, with a Greek touch, made by Ileána Makrí has gotten a lot of attention. Here a few of her artworks from the collection:
