Kavoúri Beach at Vouliagmeni

Now we have a real heat wave in Greece. Has been 37 plus for more than 2 days now here in Athens. At some other places 40 degrees...

These pictures are from one of the beaches at Vouliagmeni where we have been. Kavoúri means crab - "The crab beach", but we haven't seen any at this beach. On another small beach close by we saw many a couple of years ago, so the boys do not want to go there again...

Among young fit guys it seems to be very popular to have tattoos on the one upper arm and shoulder this year...

It's really very beautiful at this beach. Unfortunately a little rocky here and there at the bottom of the sea and the sand is a bit boring...

Kavouri beach is 23 km from Syntagma square. You can take the metró to Elliniko and then bus no 122 til "Diast. Kavouriou" and then a short, nice walk of 15 min.
