Gay Culture festival at Skiathos with Ricky Martin

The first Gay Culture Festival is coming up! The international festival will take place at the beautiful island of Skiathos. Some scenes from the successful film musical "Mamma Mia" was filmed on Skiathos 2007.

Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to visit Skiathos yet. I hope I will have the chance soon, because it really seems like a lovely island!

Ricky Martin is now on Skiathos to sign the contract about his performance on the island the 12th of July. His concert will be the opening for the 4-day long (July 12 - 15th) International Gay Culture Festival 2012.

Ricky Martin finally decided to be open with his sexuality in March, 2010, writing on his webpage: "I am proud to say I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am."

The world famous Puerto Rican got married with his partner, Carlos Gonzales Apela, the 28th of January, 2012.

Since 2008 Ricky is the father of two twin boys given birth by a surrogate mother.

In november it was written in some media that Lady Gaga was going to perform at the first night of the festival, but either it was just rumours either they couldn't agree. (Lagy Gaga to visit Skiathos island).

At Mykonos there will be a Gay festival as well, 22nd - 26th of August; XLSior Gay Festival Mykonos. This is a famous festival which is organized every year.
