Μύλος (Mýlos = windmill) is tne name of the best restaurant/tavern in Gouves! I have to admit I haven't eaten at so many places in Gouves - as
everything is so perfect at Mylos!
The wonderful people who have this incredible well-managed place are Makis and Lena. They have also been living and working in restaurants in Italy. They have the Greek taverna in Gouves since 1993. Mylos (or Milos) Taverna is so lovely decorated, in Greek traditional style.
Now during the summerseason it's LIVE Cretan/Greek music and dance every sunday (June-Sepember). Usually then it's better to reserve a table, because it's coming a lot of people.
The excellent chef Makis is looking out of his kitchen. In here delicious dishes are made! There is also a pizza oven in the restaurant, which can be seen in the slide show above. Freshly baked bread is served with the food!

On this map it's not possible to mark where it is, but Mylos taverna is situated approximately in the middle of the road you see to the right, Βλυχάδας/Vlychadas. This road starts by the sea, next to Island Hotel and ends at the big road, next to Rainbow Bar (Busstop #14).
Mylos' opening hours:
May-October: about 13.00 'til 24.00.
November 'til April it's open in the weekends, Saturday 18.00 'til about 24.00, Sundays about 13.00 - 24.00.
