Alternative "lightening of the Christmastree" at Syntagma

Read this in Swedish: Alternativ julgranständning på Syntagmatorget
On thursday they were Christmasdecorating the trees on the Syntagma square, but this year the decorations are made by recycled materials, like shining cans etc!  Children has been making these different ornaments.

And here a short video from the alternative "lightening of the tree" celebration at Syntagma square yesterday:


Finally we have found our Christmastree and our other Christmas decorations...Yes, had to search a lot, because in the same big storeroom we also have things for our cafeteria, Cheers cafe, everything in a very charming (?!)mess... . Så soon we will light our Christmastree here at home as well!

    It's nice for people to see that life still goes on and people are still enjoying themselves here in Greece despite all the severe austerity measures. Happy Christmas and may next year be better for everyone !
